ABOUT:
The MOHA (Museum of Humor Art)
is the brainchild of world renown pop artist
Nelson De La Nuez.
It first debuted July 17, 1994.
This site contains his numerous works of incredibly
intelligent, humorous art created throughout the years that are for purchase.
It is a virtual web museum that will cause you to laugh, think and
compel you to own the artwork for your home or share it as a gift.
Walk through the museum at your own pace and enjoy it.
The unique, often irreverent, mixed media art results in hilarious satire by
juxtaposing pop culture, art history, religion, politics and more. The artwork
is thought provoking and best described as: witty, inspired, perceptive,
creative, original, blasphemous, sarcastic, wacky, nostalgic, amusing,
unconventional, wild, imaginative, and downright ingenious.
Long before Banksy, before anyone began
juxtaposing satirical images...
De La Nuez's work was already out there
hanging in thousands of homes.
He opened new doors in the world of art and is always creating new ideas.
Nelson De La Nuez has been described as a "beautifully demented creative
genius" and "a modern icon."
The site celebrates the freedom of speech in the visual arts through humor. On
this site, nothing is held back and nothing is sacred, yet no one person or
group is targeted. He is laughing at the world and the irony of everything.
The Museum of Humor Art will never be complete; it will continue to grow as long as there is imagination, open minds and laughter to be had.
"The world needs a lot more laughter and smiles and not taking everything so seriously,
Embrace something even if it makes you uncomfortable...
at least take the time to understand it."
-Nelson De La Nuez
